In 1993, already extensive flooding took a turn for the
worse as 5 to 10 inches of rain inundated Harvey County,
where the floods that resulted closed nearly every road
in the county.	In Halstead, the Little Arkansas River
wasn't so little as it certainly rose to the occasion
reaching what, at the time, was a record crest early on
the 14th. Around 25 percent of the homes in Halstead
were flooded. The flooding continued downstream, causing
around $10 million damage.
